Hailey's Nickname

I can't believe this little girl will be 3 years old soon. I was looking at old pictures and saw these and thought I would write a little about one of my memories, since I wasn't blogging at this time. I am soooo far behind on scrapbooking my kids lives, and figure I better post more so I can remember details when and if I ever get to their scrapbooks!

This was the day that we brought our little angel home from the hospital. Carter quickly came up with a name and announced that he had picked one for her. (Lucky for Hailey we had already signed to birth certificate, so Hailey Ann was official!)

Carter nicknamed her "Snow Drop". He got this name from a cartoon that he liked at the time about a little bug family. The little sisters name on the show was Snow Drop.
Hailey also was born
on a snowy day and was a little one weighing in at 6 lbs 3 ounces. So, we thought Snow Drop suited her well. Anytime someone would ask what her name was, if I replied Hailey, Carter would get upset with me and say "No mom, it's Snow Drop". What little cuties. Carter was 4 years old when Hailey was born, and I thought he was so big, but he looks so little in this picture! They have to got to SLOW down and stop growing so fast!

Happy New Year 2011!!

We took advantage of the Christmas break and headed to Las Vegas for a few days with our friends Josh and Virginia. Here we are at Circus Circus. I love this picture of Carter helping Hailey get onto a ride. He's always such a good brother, watching out for his sister.

Daddy and his girl

We went to The Pro Bass Shop which had a big fish aquarium and a duck pond with a waterfall.

New Year's we were actually quite boring and were all tired so it consisted of the kids spraying each other with silly string, doing some sparklers, and then falling asleep on the couch.....aren't we an exciting crew!

We went to check out Hoover Dam, but it was pretty cold so we didn't stay for too long. We'll need to go back when the weather is a little nicer. I was looking forward to getting to warmer weather in Vegas, but of course the week we were there it was like 35 degrees and super windy.

Christmas 2010

Christmas came and went way too fast this year! I can't believe the holidays are already over. We had a great month! Here's a little of what we did.

We met up with my mom and Eryn one day and went to the Childrens Museum

My sister-in-law is going to kill me for posting this, but she was having way too much fun milking the cow!

We met up with my family one night at the Ogden Christmas Lights and then went for ice cream after.

Did our usual Gingerbread House

Christmas Eve we went to my parents for the afternoon. We ate some soup and rolls and then mom told a little Christmas Story, we played christmas songs with the bells, then opened presents. Here is my attempt at getting a family picture! This is the best we got if you can believe it.

Grandma had the kids decorate sugar cookies to take home to Santa.

We went home and the kids got to open their usual Christmas Jammies. I also got them a game to play and then it was off to bed! Poor Carter just couldn't get to sleep, he was so excited. I don't think he fell asleep until 11 p.m. I couldn't blame him though, because I couldn't sleep either! I couldn't wait to wake up and see their excited little faces when they saw what was under the tree.

Carter made me a few gifts from school and wrapped them. I always tear up with these kind of things, they are definitely the best gifts ever!

Hailey got some princesses and a princess castle which she loves. I just love having a girl and getting to play with this stuff again!

Carter was all about G.I. Joes and Science Stuff this year. He was ecstatic to get a microscope and Science Kit.

We were spoiled as usual this year, but most of all are so greatful for great family and friends!
