1st Day of School!!

I think this morning was tougher for me than it was for Carter! He was up an hour early and was literally ready in 10 minutes, waiting at the door with his backpack on. He was SO excited! I on the other hand, had to hold back tears all the way home! I know its only 2.5 hours a day, but its so official having him in school! I have all these worries going through my head. Hoping he makes friends, does what the teacher asks(since he likes to do things his own way), makes it to the bathroom etc. etc. I'm sure he'll do fine. Yesterday he told me "Mom, I hope that I sit next to a cute girl in class tomorrow." Carter has never had a problem being in new situations and being around new people. He gets that good quality from his dad. I am so excited to watch him grow and learn this year!

A cute thing he has been doing lately is when we go anywhere, he holds the door open for Hailey and I, and anybody else on their way through. He was almost late to class today because he wanted to hold the door for everyone. He is such a sensitive, kind hearted soul! Love that boy!

Hailey's New Thing

Hailey has really taken to her baby dolls lately, and wants them with her constantly. She is still Scootin around on her bum, but manages to carry a baby with her everywhere she goes! I'm amazed at how nurturing she is with her babies already. She rocks them back and forth, and pats their backs softly like she is burping them. She's just to darn cute!

The Davis Fair

Am I the only terrible mom that gets sick of going to the fair? Maybe its because I went to Four of them last summer! Or that I am always a sucker and end up spending way too much to let Carter do everything he wants to do! Anyways I conveniently had to work the weekend of the Cache County Fair, but my parents took the kids to the Davis County Fair and then I met up with them when I was done working. Carter got to watch the Alligator Show, which he loved, and also got to hold a snake. They enjoyed the pony rides and petting zoo as well.

Gettin Dirty!

We went camping this last weekend with my family. It was a lot of work for one night, but we still had fun! Next time we will need to go for a little longer! The boys enjoyed some hiking and as you can see Izzy and Hailey didn't mind getting dirty! Izzy was throwing dirt in her hair as well as Hailey's and when I asked her to stop I got the look of death!
Nic is missing in this picture because he wasn't in the mood for pictures but everyone else is here(other than me who was conveniently taking the picture!) Cami and Meili didn't come along so we missed them. Maybe next year:) This is at a park that we stopped at on our way home for some lunch. All the kids and adults had fun playing "freeze" tag. They were good and worn out for the ride home:) Oh and I forgot.......the best part of the whole trip......my awesome son and hubby brought me a beautiful bouquet of wild flowers that they picked while hiking. I thought it was sweet that they thought of me!

A BIG thanks to mom and dad for bringing most of the food! I know it was a lot of work!

Summer Camp

Carter has been doing a summer camp called "Fun in the Sun" the last couple months. It is a program that our city did this year. He would go twice a week for 2 hours, where they did crafts, activities, and went on field trips to different places. This was a great program to get Carter out doing fun things, and meeting new kids. I really hope the city continues to do this every year, he had a blast. In the top picture Carter is in the front row, 7th from the right.

Riding horses at the Heritage Center

I had to throw in this picture because Carter had a crush on this girl. She is one of the teachers daughters who helped out. He had told me about her awhile back, and when we were going through these pictures that they sent, he pointed her out and said " Mom, that's the girl I was talking about. I get shy when I look at her cause she's just so pretty." I must say he does have good taste in girls, but I'm not ready for him to be noticing them yet! Especially OLDER girls!
