Carter's 6th Birthday Party

We did a GI Joe Boot Camp theme for Carters party this year. It turned out really well, and I think everyone had a good time. These pictures are not in order, so if my rambling doesn't make sense, that's why! Above is Hailey with her Aunt Eryn. They were playing peek-a-boo under the camo netting, and Hailey had the cutest little giggles.

After the friends went home Grammy, Papa, and Uncle Mark came up for Pizza and Cake.

We played lots of games, did a fun obstacle course, a pinata, and at the end the kids got a medal and a Certificate of Achievement

This is Gavin on the balance beam which was part of the obstacle course. Bryan and Mike acted as "Drill Sergeants" and they were hilarious! They did a great job!

It was pretty funny. This was towards the first of the party, and I was a little nervous they were going to scare some of the kids!
All of the kids were issued a weapon, a personalized dog tag, and helmet when they got here. Then their faces were painted.

All of us minus Aunt Eryn.

My beautiful mom, Izzy, and Hailey. I LOVE this picture! Beautiful girls for sure!

Bryan got a bunch of camo nets from Smith & Edwards. We draped them throughout the house. This is one we put on the stairs, so you had to crawl to get down.

My big 6 year old(actually not quite yet. We celebrated his birthday early so he has a few more days)
Thanks to everyone who made the trip up here. Carter had a blast!

4-in-1 Celebration!

We went to my parents house on Sunday and celebrated Valentine's Day, Carters Birthday, my nephew Ty's Birthday, and Chinese New Year! Let's just say the kids got lots of treats! This is Carters face after opening the dreaded "clothes". He has never liked getting clothes for presents, but mom sure does!

Grandma and Grandpa gave him a really cool Dinosaur lamp that rotates different dinosaurs. I thought this was cute with Carter and Hailey both lying down watching it.

We played a game to see who could get their m&m's in their cup with a straw the fastest.

Aunt Cami and Uncle Glen did some fun things for Chinese New Year. They watched a little video and each kid got a red envelope with a dollar in it. Then they went outside and did Sparklers and Snaps.

Just Bein Silly

The other night Carter and I were just being silly and taking pictures of ourselves. As I was putting him to bed he said "Mom, you are the coolest mom ever." I definitely am NOT the coolest mom ever, but doesn't it just make your day when your kids say things like this?

Congrats to my Hubby!

Bryan graduated from the RCA Academy last night. He was picked for Valedictorian and did a short little speech. This is him receiving his Medal and Certificate.
Bryan still has a Math, English, and 3 month EMT class he needs to take which will start in March. The RCA is definitely the hardest, and they say once that's done, that it gets a lot easier! I am so proud of Bryan for what he has accomplished. He has worked so hard, and I know he will miss this class, as grueling as it was. He would make me laugh because on the days that they had "burn" days, meaning they got to fight a fire, he would be soooooo excited. I would think that would make one nervous, but not my Bryan!

The class had to do a project to present to the school to leave behind as a remembrance for their class. This is what they came up with, which turned out amazing!
There were 7 who graduated this year. This isn't all of them, but we have Jeff, Brodie, Captain Davies, Bryan and Dirk. What a great group of guys! Bryan has spent many many hours with these guys, and truly loves them!
After the graduation we went to Bluebird with our parents. Thanks for celebrating with us!
