SnowBird 2012

 We went up to SnowBird again this year to enjoy Octoberfest.  The weather was perfect and we had tons of fun!

 All four of us got on the trampolines at the same time.  You jump for a total of ten minutes, and Bryan and and I were worn out after that!  It was a good workout though!  I got pretty good at doing flips and Bryan was doing double flips!

We played until about 6 p.m., got some pizza then headed back to watch a movie in our room...

We ended up with the same room as last year which was kinda funny.  This is the view we got to enjoy!

 We took these pictures after breakfast the next morning.  Hailey was AWFUL at breakfast!  I had to laugh at Bryan with his hands around her neck and then pretending to cut her ponytail off.  The funny thing is that she had no idea!  Luckily she was good the rest of the day!

I think our favorite ride was the Alpine Slide.  We showed up right when they opened at noon and there was no line, so we rode it over and over again!

 All the way down Hailey was telling me "Good job Mom, good job!!!"

 This year was fun because Hailey was just barely tall enough to ride everything.  We were all able to do the Ropes Course!  It was kind of hard to hold on to Hailey and keep myself from falling at the same time!

 Before we headed home we took the Tram up to the top of Snowbird Mountain.  It was a little chilly, but worth it!

 There were some people up at the top playing music which was fun!

 There was a husband and a wife setting up to jump off the mountain.  We got to watch them, and it was awesome!  I don't think I would ever have the guts to do that, but it was really neat to watch them do it!

Mom's 60th Birthday!

 My beautiful mom turned 60 last week so we got together at my brother's house to celebrate!

 My mom and Izzy share a birthday which is always fun!  Izzy turned 6 and her mom made her these adorable Rapunzel cupcakes.

After eating cupcakes and ice cream we had the kids fill out a fun little true or false questionaire to see how much they knew about Grandma.

 Poor Nic was really stressing out that he didn't know a lot of the answers, it was pretty funny!

It was fun to get together with family and celebrate such a wonderful woman's birthday, we love you mom!

 Carter earned his Orange Belt in karate this week!

On a side note, Carter came home from school yesterday and brought me this.  He is learning cursive and was so excited to show me what he wrote for me!  It makes this mama smile to know that even while he's at school, he thinks about me!

Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall!

 Summer FLEW by and it's already time for school to start!  I have to admit I was really sad to see summer go, but also looking forward to getting back on a routine.  The Backpack Fairy made her appearance again this year, and of course the kids were excited!

 Hailey got a new outfit, water bottle, some supplies and some fun activities to do with mom at home...

 Carter got a new lunchbox, water bottle, book, lunch snacks and some needed school supplies...

 Carter was soooo excited to start school that he hardly slept the night before.  Then when I woke him up for school he didn't want to get up cause he was so tired!  He started 3rd grade this year and has Mrs. Fluckiger.

 The whole family escorted him to school in the morning....

 I love doing little things for my kids to make them feel special and I had this idea to make a HUGE chocolate chip cookie for Carter when he got home........as you can see it didn't work very well!  I got a whole house filled of smoke!

 Dad and Hailey hid in the bushes with nerf guns to get Carter when he came home from school...

 He didn't suspect a thing....

 So the cookie was a little burnt on the edges, and not done enough in the middle!  Carter didn't seem to mind, and it still put a smile on his face!  He just had to eat it like this...

Hailey's first day of preschool was about a week after Carter started...

 

 She is going two days a week for two hours to a little home preschool.  She's excited to meet new friends!
